Problem Statement

Pakistan has already shortage of water.Mostly fields are wasted due to lack of water.So basically we thought , ”Why not to use water in a controlled manner?” And save the water. By using this protocol ,our fields are irrigated according to their needs,one more perspective to develop this prototype is to make farmer’s life easy.They dont have to examine and work on their fields physically.It will reduce their physical appearance in fields and they will examine fields from home using Think speak server.It will also save their time.So,we designed a prototype”Agricultural Water Controlled System using IOT” to overcome these problems.

Description

Our project ( Agricultural water controller ) is based on IoT ( Internet of Things ). In this project we are using Raspberry pie, wireless sensor network, Temprature and moisture sensor to  bring modernization in agricultural field. By using this technology our project will bring revolution in the agricultural sector. To use water in a controlled manner and also to gain maximum output from the field, it is the main target of our project. Shortage of water is the main problem and its irregular way of usage. To overcome all these problems, we propsed a solution by designing this hardware.

Pakistan is facing problems in agriculture sector, yet the major part of capital comes from this sector. Soil Erosion, Wastage of Water, Water Logging, Old traditional a methods and lack of guidance are the factors affecting the overall agricultural growth of Pakistan. Shortage of water supply is also a significant issue in Pakistan, due to which many crops give less outcome as expected. Putting ourselves on the seat of farmers, we have noticed that the main causes are lack of technology awareness and the importance of required amount water for specific crops, that’s why we thought of building and developing an Ai System, which collects soil and weather information using different sensors and data sources and make decisions for the crops, which will be very helpful to farmer. So it motivated us to introduce the method in which smart use of water will be implemented
