The goal of the project is to transform a university’s transportation infrastructure into a digital or smart one. Our project is to enable the transportation department to manage the problems, transportation information, and notifications on a platform that will be practical and approachable for users, staff, and the transportation department itself. Similarly, it will work on the user side, where they will have real-time buses tracking, estimated arrival time, emergency notifications and any complaint and suggestion regarding transport. To increase speed and make the system simpler to operate, a computerized transportation system must be designed. The project’s intended organization is university’s own transportation. There will be no need to check notice boards or emails thanks to its popularity among users and more effective jobs. An automated alert message will be generated through QR code function to the admin portal about the bus when the bus is full of the limit.
Our objectives include the availability of bus routes and available bus stops through which users can manage their timings. Alternative bus routes if user can not reach at the stop on time. Complain portal for users where they can enter their feedback and the problems they are facing. Real-time Notification on updates which will alert users on time if there is any change. It will be easy to handle and feasible, everyone will be able to operate as it will be easy to be understood by the user. The app will be fast and convenient. Every time a change to the timetable occurs or there is a change to the bus route or timing, the transport division manually publishes a notice that may not be understood or deliverable to every user. Therefore, our project is to enable the transportation department to manage the problems, transportation information, and notifications on a platform that will be practical and approachable for users, staff, and the transportation department itself. System security describes the controls and safeguards that an organization takes to ensure that the system is protected from unauthorized access as well as attacks. Our app will contain information about the vehicles, their routes as well as the personal information of the drivers and conductors. So, the security parameters must be implemented. Our system will implement the security requirements by authorization and authentication. In our system, authentication is implemented so that only a registered person will be able to use the system.
Our app will provide several benefits, will eliminate the chance of data loss, and will provide the facility of finding routes, stops, drivers and conductor’s information as well as details of buses. Online updating and making changes to the schedules will be possible for administrators and complaint portals for users. Our app will be user-friendly as it will easily be on every end user device and will not use more resources. By developing the system, we will attain the following facilities. Easy to handle and feasible, Easy to operate, Cost reduction, Fast and convenient. The system will be very simple in design and to implement. If a user is new to the system, then he must register himself to the system by providing the necessary information to the admin. User can log in to the portal through an already registered account by providing credentials. Users can search for the details of any bus. The system will provide the user with information such as the bus is going to which area, using what route, its drivers plus conductor’s details etc. Users can search for the required route. Users can give feedback about the bus service provided by the university and give suggestions here. Users can use the complaint portal to record any incident or mishap even if it is about the bad behavior of driver or conductor. They can record complaints if any driver rash drive the vehicle. Users can view notification banners for the important announcements about the transport if there is any change in the schedule or any bus got changed for any route. Notifications must catch the eye of users using the App. User can log out from the system by simply clicking on the logout button. User can seek help from the help corner if he/she finds any difficulty in using the App. Admin will register himself on the App providing the necessary credentials. Admin can sign-in using the sign-in for admin the App. Admin can update, delete, add, or remove notifications from the banner. Admin can view complaints recorded by users and can reply to them as well. Admin can view the feedback from the user. Admin can view, update, add or remove from the firebase where the whole information of the transport terminal will be saved. Admin is responsible for managing the whole App. Admins have the authority to add, update, remove from the app as well as managing it. Admin can sign-out from the app by using the sign-out option.
Quality assurance phase is mainly based on a Test plan including testing strategies and types of testing applied to ensure the reliability, security, and accuracy of the system to give the user a great and error-free experience. Happiness and satisfaction of customer (User) is our first and foremost priority to ensure that a proper testing mechanism was devised, and the results are tabulated in the form of test cases and to trace each test case against the desired functional requirement. Maintaining a high level is the planned application’s top priority. A comprehensive set of standards will be adopted to guarantee the system’s quality. To create the proposed application, top-notch practices, guidelines, and resources will be applied. The suggested system will always be accessible to users. All functionalities of the application, such as admin module, student module, and all functionalities will be performed with reliability and accuracy as the target. The application will be easy to use for everyone. The traceability matrix and test case are explained in the report. In the development phase, we provide a full development plan in which we describe how and what work is done by which team member, and which tools are used for development. Communication is done through internet and intranet. Users should have an internet connection to use the system, it can be 4G and 3G devices or broadband network. We are using VS Code and Android Studio, Flutter for app and Firebase for backend. This project is developed using Flutter, Flutter is a highly efficient and user-friendly solution that enhances the learning experience of users and makes administrative tasks easier for university staff. Our operating environment is an app based. The minimum requirement for our software like Android Studio to work is Window 7 with 4GB RAM. It can run on all electronic devices of Android. Our app will be user friendly, and students and employees can easily use our app.

The project outcome would focus on improving the overall user experience for passengers using the smart university transport system. This could include user-friendly mobile applications for real-time tracking and booking, automated notifications for arrivals and departures. The smart university transport system should optimize the use of available resources, such as vehicles and drivers. The outcome would involve efficient scheduling and dispatching mechanisms, reducing idle time, and maximizing the utilization of transportation resources. It will ensure the safety and security of passengers. Our project contributes to sustainability goals by minimizing the environmental impact of transportation. Our project aims for cost-effectiveness and financial viability. The outcome would include efficient cost management, revenue generation strategies and a sustainable business model to support the long-term operation and maintenance of the system. These outcomes focus on improving transportation services, enhancing user experience, promoting sustainability, and achieving operational efficiency within the university transport system. It is important to align these outcomes with the project objectives to ensure the success and value of our project.
