Our proposed project is a web-based interaction with QR code. It will revolutionize restaurants by minimizing human error, workload and enhancing customer experience. It will also increase customer interaction and satisfaction. This improves your overall operations and makes your restaurant run more smoothly. Automated tasks are often completed with greater accuracy than if they were completed manually. Customers will be recommended famous, cultural cuisine and dining. QR code-based interaction. We are hopeful that our restaurant automation system can be a better option than the manual management system. We have researched many restaurants and many other fast-food points, From the research we have studied that most of the restaurants are using a manual management system.

Objectives

The aim of this project is to develop a system that would eliminate the need for a traditional pen/paper approach for privately- owned restaurants. The project is focused on making the restaurant fully automated such that it is easier to co-ordinate various work activities that go on inside a typical restaurant. The main features of the project include: • Organizing a database for a restaurant. • QR code-based interaction. • Increase efficiency by minimizing the time between an order is placed and the billing. • Increase profits by reducing operating costs and increasing revenues by increasing efficiency. • Cost accountancy of total revenues generated. • Recommendation system will recommend popular dishes, special cuisine of localities, deals and offers. • It will also relate to the recommendation system and previous records of consumption and costs fluctuations in past. • Customer will not interact with waiter, but directly interacted with system to place order. • Customer will be accessible for diners and drinkers on their smartphones after scanning a QR code. • System self-informs in kitchen when customer place order. • System self-calculated total amount and subtract the deal if applicable. • Cost accountancy will take care of all revenues and bookkeeping of all expenditures. • Price comparison with deals criteria to offer the best deals for bargain-sensitive users who order multiple more foods. • If your restaurant has a menu display, then a digital menu board might be the most cost-effective way to ensure that it is up to date. While a hand-letter chalk menu board may be more charming. These tools have other benefits beyond reducing operational costs. Automation can reduce or even eliminate user errors while simplifying and optimizing operations. It can also help to cut back on waste and create greater efficiencies. Customers often have a better experience as a result of automation, which can lead to higher profits.

Socio-Economic Benefit

According to different studies, a fully automated restaurant reduces labor costs, minimizes other operating expenses, and increases profits. Furthermore, the restaurant business improves the customer experience when they offer self-service, intuitive ways for patrons to place an order for food delivery services. We see in our daily life restaurants are always trying to give their best but in certain situations, on occasions, there are a lot of customers. The restaurant management can’t handle all those customers because of a shortage of waiters. So, we tried to solve this problem in an automatic way by developing this system. This system reduces waiting time for the customers and reduces the resource consumption and increase customer satisfaction. Automated systems can help restaurants save money, improve efficiency, and provide a better experience for customers. It will also devise strategies and marketing policies through various means of machine learning. It will also increase customer interaction and satisfaction. This improves your overall operations and makes your restaurant run more smoothly. This system can be used by the business proving online, offline food and delivery services. customer can also provide feedback about the products of the restaurant. Labor expenses can make or break a struggling diner. As the minimum wage rises across the country, automation restaurants may solve the problem. Because the cost of technology systems decreases, diners invest in more systems than counterbalance the rise in worker pay. Predictive scheduling decreases any scheduling problems that arise with manual processes. This ensures business owners comply with state and federal regulations. It also increases employee morale and ensures everyone is at work when they are supposed to be.

Methodologies

This system is designed using the PHP programming language. We have used window technology to design the user interface. The system administrator will have windows operating system on his laptop or desktop. The database is designed using MySQL. We have used dell core i5 5 gen as the working platform; the system is compatible with all higher versions of windows, Android OS and other operating systems that can any search engine We have first studied the whole product as we have designed accordingly. We are getting menu’s foods from restaurants then from that menu according to customers rating review and most sold dishes that we have display to customers as a recommended food. On the other side customers placed order displaying on kitchen screen to reduce the labor workforce. HTML and CSS have been used to display text, figures, tables, nav bar, header, footer, and many more things on browser in a proper way. While JavaScript help us to add interactive and functional behaviors in our project. Bootstraps have been used for designing and development platforms. These above tools and languages we used for front end in which can easily interact with system. When we talk about front end, with that there must be a back end in which all the functionalities can easily be performed when any user interacting with our system. For these back algorithms and coding is performed in PHP. By using PHP, we add data, extract data, delete data, modify data, and get data to display to user when user performing any task. For the recommendation we used PHP libraries such as aprori and others as we have used in our system. Now one thing is missed which is the databases we already know that any management system must have been their database where the system can easily keep the records and all the requirements that system requires to manage the functionalities. For the database we used MYSQL where the data kept. When any developer thinks to develop such a system he/she must requires any tools in which developer can easily do his job we used Vs code for coding and XAMPP and admin for database.

Outcome

This system reduces waiting time for the customers and increases customer satisfaction. We are hopeful that our restaurant automation system can be a better option than the manual management system. QR code is used for contactless ordering and menu reading on-site. The main objective of smart ordering system is to make the complete restaurant automated. Here customer can order his/her desired dishes till asking for bill. The bill will then be received by message to the customer. Web Ordering System- Customers can place their order via their smart phone. Menu Management System- The menu management will be authorized by the authorized person from restaurant. In this they can manage their menu and can hide/delete/add the required item. Order Retrieval System- In this system, restaurant employee will keep track on each and every order receive/serve. As restaurants respond to shifting economic realities and customer expectations, they have an opportunity to enhance their processes, building more sustainable establishments that serve their immediate needs and long-term priorities. By giving attention to back-of-house operations, restaurants can improve profitability, sustainability, and customer experience. Automation will be central to those efforts, empowering restaurants to achieve better outcomes even as they rely on fewer resources to do this. Automation can’t solve every challenge, but it can help restaurants achieve more with less, providing a better customer experience and a more capable operations capacity that helps restaurants. The emergence of computers pioneered the automation of the food ordering system. A PC connection was established where the customer after place the order in the system. The respective orders taken were then displayed at a screen in the kitchen. The kitchen staff prepared the dishes accordingly and on completion notified the waiter who collected and delivered the dishes to the respective tables. After serving the food, the bill was generated at the cash counter. All the details entered by the customer were fed into the system which the management had full access to.
