Aggregates play a crucial role in the construction industry. The use of recycled aggregates in construction offers several advantages, both from an environmental and economic standpoint. The use of Nano materials in self-compacting concrete (SCC) offers several advantages and can significantly enhance its properties and performance Utilizing waste products is necessary to achieve sustainability.Self compacting concrete is a type of concrete that flows under its own weight under fresh state.it Contains significant amounts of slurry and fine particles.it does not require any external vibration or compaction.it decreased likelihood of bleeding, segregation, and otherabnormalities.

Objectives

Our objective is to investigate the effect of recycled aggregates and Nano materials on properties of self compacting concrete. To Carry out life cycle assessment of self -compacting concrete incorporating recycled aggregates using Nano graphite and Nano silica.

Socio-Economic Benefit

By incorporating recycled aggregates, the research promotes sustainable practices by reducing the demand for virgin materials and minimizing waste generation. This contributes to resource conservation, reduced carbon emissions, and a more sustainable construction industry. The use of recycled aggregates diverts construction and demolition waste from landfills and promotes their recycling and reuse. This helps to address waste management challenges, reduce environmental pollution, and conserve natural resources. The incorporation of recycled aggregates in SCC can support local economies by creating opportunities for recycling businesses and industries. This can generate employment and contribute to the growth of a circular economy by establishing local supply chains for recycled materials.

Methodologies

Our project methodology included testing and casting of sample. Several mechanical and durability tests were conducted to see the performance of Nano materials used in the SCC mix. second phase included life cycle assessment which was done by using Open LCA eco-invent method . quantity take off was done by using Revit.

Outcome

The inclusion of 4% Nano silica and 0.3% Nano graphite in the concrete mix 3 has resulted in maximum performance compared to the other 13 mixes casted. The optimized combination of these Nano materials has significantly enhanced the mechanical strength, workability, and durability of the concrete. Although the mix did not incorporate recycled aggregates, it still achieved exceptional results. These findings highlight the potential of Nano silica and Nano graphite as effective additives in concrete production. The success of this study encourages further exploration of these materials for improved concrete performance and sustainability in the construction industry. Using Nano silica and Nano graphite in concrete minimizes the potential negative effects that may arise from using recycled aggregates. These Nano materials enhance the overall performance and properties of the concrete, compensating for any drawbacks that might be associated with the recycled aggregates.
