Research and testings are conducted to explore the impact of graphite nano micro platelets (GNMPs) and recycled aggregates on concrete properties. With mixtures ranging from 0% to 0.5% GNMPs and 0% to 100% recycled aggregates, it was found that the characteristics of recycled aggregate concrete resembled those of natural aggregate concrete by addition of GNMPs. The project seeks to optimize concrete formulations for a sustainable future.

Objectives

• Utilization of Recycled aggregate in concrete to make it sustainable and achieving characteristics comparable to natural concrete aggregate. • To determine the feasibility and benefits of using GNMPs in recycled aggregate concrete. • To determine the optimum dosage of both these materials in a concrete mix

Socio-Economic Benefit

• Cost Effectiveness • Resource conservation. • Reduces solid construction waste. • One step closer to sustainability. • Market expansion for recycled materials.

Methodologies

Methodology is same as of conventional concrete Materials Mix Proportions Mix Design Preparation and Casting of concrete Testing

Outcome

This study investigates the impact of GNMPs on the behavior of concrete made from Recycled aggregate concrete. Concrete mixes containing both natural and recycled aggregate were used with the addition of a small fraction of GNMPs that was 0%,0.1%, 0.3%, and 0.5% by weight of cement. The experimental results indicate that the addition of GNMPs enhances compressive strength, tensile strength, and non-destructive parameters. Furthermore, the study shows that the properties of recycled aggregate concrete are comparable to those of natural aggregate concrete with the addition of a small amount GNMPs. RCA content of 30% and GNMPs content of 0.3% is giving acceptable strength.
