The proposal suggests a framework for reporting robberies in real-time using speech processing, specifically voice recognition. The system compares a spoken code-word with a preset one and sends a text message over WIFI ESP 32 module to a nearby police station or security office if they match. While voice recognition is typically a straightforward task, the pressure of being in a robbery situation can affect a person's speech, making it challenging to accurately recognize the code-word. The proposed system aims to address this complexity, making it a unique and challenging idea.

Objectives

Set up and gain enough hands-on experience of the entire system including microcontroller, voice/speech-recognition (VR), WiFi and GSM shields. Train the VR module with the preset code-word, and test it rigorously in varying situations and parameters. Interface the VR module with microcontroller and GSM/ ESP-32 WiFi camera modules, and transmit a text message upon a match of code-words. Transmit a snapshot of the situation too (optional). Devise means to receive an acknowledgment without getting noticed. Deploy the system in a realistic manner.

Socio-Economic Benefit

Enhanced public safety Crime prevention Increased Reporting Accuracy Cost savings and compact design Community empowerment Data analysis and crime mapping

Methodologies

The advent of internet-of-things (IoT) and advancement in machine learning have allowed computer engineers and scientists to transform long-existing theories, algorithms, and processes into working real-life and handy products. Not only is their usage convenient, they equally promise rapid prototyping. One such method is speech processing, which has been studied for ages, but to the best of our knowledge hasn’t been put to use in a manner we intend to exploit it in. Choose a suitable voice recognition module: There are various voice recognition modules available in the market, such as EasyVR, HM2007, or Arduino Voice Recognition V3 module. So we use voice recognition V3 that fits our requirements, and can reliably recognize the code word or phrase we want to use to trigger the system. Choose a suitable GSM module: A GSM module such as SIM900A or SIM800L can be used to send an SMS to the police when the system is triggered. Choose a module that supports the necessary frequencies and features for your area. Choose a suitable microcontroller: An Arduino or Raspberry Pi can be used as the microcontroller for the system. Choose a microcontroller that is compatible with your chosen voice recognition and GSM modules, and has enough processing power to handle the system's tasks. Set up the hardware: Connect the voice recognition module, GSM module, and LCD display to the microcontroller according to their respective pinouts. Make sure to power the modules appropriately, and provide a stable power source. Write the software: Write code to handle the voice recognition, LCD display, and GSM module. The software should wait for the code word or phrase to be spoken, display a message on the LCD display to confirm that the system is activated, and send an SMS to the police. Test the system: Test the system by speaking the code word or phrase to the voice recognition module and verifying that the message is sent to the police. Install the system: Install the system in a suitable location in your home, and make sure it is accessible to all authorized users. Test the system periodically to ensure it is still working correctly.

Outcome

Installing automatic Anti-theft security system improves the security while simultaneously lowering insurance prices. Robberies would have decreased significantly. Constant Protection: Appointing security guards or personally being there to protect the property 24/7 is practically not possible so this device will make it possible. Home Security Systems are designed to be a deterrent for the robbers.
