As the name suggests, a wireless communicating control device contains two parts i.e. Right Hand Glove, designed as a controller unit, and the Robotic Arm designed as a functional unit. It could be used for picking, lifting, delivering, and placing small items from one place to another carefully in the right place, similar to a human hand. It is a programmable device, Its usage is most beneficial in an industrial environment, especially in tedious conditions like fire extinguishing environments, and chemical fumes environments as well as also usable in normal situations, It can be used even at night-time with the assistance of flashlight and high definition camera through live streaming (IoT based Technology), displayed directly on your android or Laptop, It is very easy to control and easy to understand. It is an environment-friendly device.
The main aim and objective of designing this device is to cope with difficulties and problems, which are facing by human in dangerous sites, especially in industries. Therefore, it is designed to provide ease to the operators that can handle (pick, left, deliver) small things without facing many difficulties. It works same as a human arm and is fully controlled by a human. Other objectives are discussed below: 1. As it contains two part hand glove as a remote and controlled device, which perform an action, both communicate wirelessly. Therefore, it is easy to control and handle from a specified range of distance. 2. There are many incidents, for example: at a fire site, or at a chemical fumes site, where the risk to human life exists, and picking up some important things or handling other things is not an easy job. Therefore, at that time and place, it is the best choice to use this device to perform your task accurately and precisely. 3. Some additional features make it a unique device and very helpful in troubled situations. For example, viewing live streaming, the temperature in Celcius, percentage of humidity, heat index, and distance in meters from ahead obstacles. 4. These features are helpful at nighttime and operated via Wi-Fi (IoT based). It will send live data on your Android or PC screen. 5. It is a device with high efficiency, high quality, and best safety. It is also accessible for everyone and flexible in normal as well as dangerous circumstances.
We have designed our project to perform tasks during tedious and emergency situations in an industrial area. Therefore, we designed a device that can provide effective support to humanity during troubled conditions. It also plays a vital role in industrial innovation, also economical, most efficient, power efficient, affordable for each person, easy to understand and operate, reliable, sustainable, and free from any type of environmental pollutants. Therefore, we have covered and maintained all the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in our project. 1. Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG-7) 2. Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG-8) 3. Industry Involution and Infrastructure (SDG-9) 4. Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG-11) 5. Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG-12)
The methodology for designing and building a robotic arm typically involves several steps, which may include: • Requirement Analysis: Defining the task or application for which the robotic arm will be used, identifying the required range of motion, payload capacity, speed, precision, and other key parameters. • Conceptual Design: Developing a conceptual design of the robotic arm, including its overall structure, joint configurations, actuation mechanisms, and control system. • Mechanical Design: Creating detailed mechanical designs of the robotic arm, including the selection of materials, manufacturing processes, and component specifications. • Electrical and Control Design: Designing the electrical and control systems of the robotic arm, including the selection and integration of sensors, actuators, controllers, and communication interfaces. • Prototype Development: Building a prototype of the robotic arm to test and validate the design and performance parameters, including its range of motion, payload capacity, speed, and accuracy. • Testing and Validation: Conducting rigorous testing and validation of the robotic arm to ensure its performance meets the design requirements, including durability, reliability, and safety. • Deployment and Maintenance: Deploying the robotic arm in the intended application, providing training and support to the users, and performing regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The methodology for developing a robotic arm may vary depending on the specific application and requirements and may involve multidisciplinary teams with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and control engineering, as well as computer science, materials science, and mathematics. The other important part is the robotic arm. It is present on a small base, that is movable like a vehicle. It contains a 180-degree rotatable arm and a 90-degree rotatable hand. It also contains electronic parts like servo motors, gear motors, and a high-quality camera to view the machine's action on screen and for recording purposes. Servo motor help to move the base, and rotate the arm and hand of the robotic arm.
The main purpose and outcome of the project is to facilitate the peoples specially in dangerous or emergency situation to picking small objects by controlling this device wirelessly. There are many important features those make it a prefferable device. 1. It contains open source Boards, so easily reprogrammable device. 2. It can lift, pick, hold, deliver and place small objects accurately and efficiently similar to a human hand. Therefore, it is particularly design to reduce the problem facing during tedious situation specially at working site in any industrial area. 3. It procedure to operate is very easily and simple to understand. So, after proper understanding, he/she can be used and handle it easily from a specific distance. 4. As we used 4-wheel driven robotic car, so it will help in delivering the objects from one place to another. 5. As we used flash light and HD Cam module to view the live action on our android or PC screen, therefore we can use it even in nighttime. 6. We have also a flashlight, which we can turn on/off as per requirement. 7. We have used temperature sensor and distance sensor to measure the temperature in Celsius and distance in meter form ahead object of arm surrounding environment. 8. It is pollution free, noise free, much efficient, much reliable, low cost, low energy consumption device etc. A robotic arm can be any of a number of mechanical, programmable devices that are designed to manipulate objects in a way that is similar to the human arm. The robotic arm is one of the most useful pieces of technology to be introduced in the 20th century, and quickly became a cornerstone in many areas of manufacturing. It can be used for many different jobs and functions that may be too tedious, difficult or dangerous for a human to do. Therefore, the purpose of making this machine is to perform some risky or un-risky tasks in critical or uncritical environment specially in restricted environment of industry. This machine will help in picking, lifting, delivering and dropping things carefully and precisely. It will also supportive in night-time. We will control this machine by using some hand gestures wirelessly. It will help in saving time and energy. We know that there are some risky tasks occurs around us specially in industrial environment. Basically, it is very supportive in restricted as well as in small areas. Its size is small like a toy; therefore, it can help in those areas where the arrival of a person is impossible. It is also noise less and much friendly to environment.
