We have taken a real life Project and in that we have Design the project with Response Spectrum and Equilateral Force Method and then we have Compare with it.Regular Building is taken . ComparIosn is done in Storey shear, overturning Moment, Story drift , STRUCTURAL Detailing .Each Structural member is compare. STRUCTURAL detailing is done by SOFTWARE (etab 16,ETAB 17 and SAFE) . Cost and estimation is done and Comaprison is done which one is Safe and economicalable.
ABSTRACT
An earthquake occurs in the form of seismic waves due to sudden release of energy and results in ground shaking. During earthquake, seismic waves propagate through the soil which results in structural damage due to movements within the earth’s crust. It impacts the behavior of interaction of components like building, foundation, underlying soils and also overall system behavior.When earthquake occurs, the behavior of a building depends on distribution of mass, strength and stiffness. Generally, the buildings are subjected to various types of forces throughout their existence. The forces can be static forces due to dead and live loads and dynamic forces due to earthquake. In this study, the analysis is carried out for seismic response of (G+12) commercial building for zone-II regions through response spectrum method and ELFS (Equivalent Lateral force system) in ETABS, safeand plan swift software . The parameters like storey displacement, storey drift and storey shear are observed for specified zones

METHODLOGY
•Selection of an appropriate (essentially symmetric) real project
•Learn the software tool required in computer modelling (analysis and design) of structures.
•Perform computer based analysis and design of structure in accordance with the guidelines of building design codes.
•Design and detail the structural components according to the finalized computer based design.
OUTCOME
•By comparison of both methods equivalent lateral force varies on the computations of natural periods and basic formulae for carried out the forces.
• n the other hand response method or modal method varies on the mode shapes, frequencies and fundamental periods of the different mode of ground motion.
• Response spectrum method is more suitable for the building with regular distribution of mass and stiffness with extra height.
• It is used for structures having closely spaced frequencies.
• The responses may be estimated less than that of SRSS.
